Sylvain Oré serves as the Senior International Adviser on Governance, Human Rights & Institutional Development of the Gbadamosi-Folarin Legacy Foundation (GFLF), where he provides strategic guidance on institutional governance, the rule of law, human rights, ethical leadership, and sustainable organizational development.

A distinguished jurist, legal practitioner, and international governance expert, Mr. Oré is widely recognized as one of Africa's most respected authorities in international justice and institutional leadership.

His exceptional career spans more than twenty-five years of service in legal practice, judicial administration, and the promotion of democratic governance across the African continent.

He served as Judge of the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights from 2010 to 2021, culminating in his appointment as President of the Court, where he provided visionary leadership to one of Africa's foremost judicial institutions dedicated to safeguarding human rights, strengthening the rule of law, and advancing justice across the continent.

Mr. Oré currently serves as Alternate Sanctions Commissioner of the African Development Bank (AfDB), contributing his extensive legal and governance expertise to one of Africa's leading multilateral development finance institutions.

In addition, he has been a practicing lawyer at the Bar of Côte d'Ivoire since 1998 and is a Partner at SCPA Oré, Diallo & Associés, where he advises clients on complex legal, commercial, and institutional matters.

He holds a Postgraduate Diploma (DESS) in Human Rights, reflecting a longstanding commitment to justice, democratic governance, institutional accountability, and the protection of fundamental freedoms. Throughout his distinguished professional journey, he has worked extensively on issues relating to constitutional governance, judicial independence, institutional reform, human rights protection, conflict resolution, and public sector integrity.

As Senior International Adviser to the Gbadamosi–Folarin Legacy Foundation, Mr. Oré contributes invaluable expertise in governance systems, institutional strengthening, legal compliance, strategic partnerships, and international best practices.
